I hate when the movie studios release a foriegn movie here in the US but in the process of releasing it, cut it, retitle it, and dub it (I'm thinking of Hong Kong action releases there). The thing is, obviously the film's director elected to keep the things being cut in the movie, so what makes these studio execs think they can just slice the movies up according to their whims? And retitling it? That just confuses people. And I've read that dubbing is far pricier than subtitling a movie. I think moviegoers are much savvier today than 20 years ago, but the studios still think that some people don't want to see stuff considered "too cultural" for Americans. But, some people still don't like to go to a movie if they have to read and that's too bad because they're really missing out.

This page is looking pretty sporty now. If I was better at HTML I bet it would look even cooler! But alas, I only know the basics 'cause I'm too lazy to learn it all.
Am I still in love with my ex-girlfriend? I don't know, maybe so, maybe not. I might still love her because there's been nobody else to take her place, even though I don't like to think that. I'm so confused. Girls don't seem to like me, they always lose interest in me eventually. There are more factors than that in the ex-girlfriend equation, but still, even though I think she's the cat's meow, she doesn't seem to hold any more interest in me. I'm so romantically frustrated. I'm a lover, not a fighter.
I always forget what I want to rant about when I'm ready to write on this page. Why is that?
I really want to get some Run DMC style sneakers after seeing them plastered all over TV after the death of Jam Master Jay. Man those are cool. Do they even make those anymore? They never make the kind of sneakers I want these days. I had to go all the way to Canada to get some suede Pumas for God's sake.

I hate these so-called "country music" artists today. Country music just ain't country music these days! It's basically pop. Shania Twain, Faith Hill, Garth Brooks--it's all pop! They are all played on pop radio. Gone are the glory days of country music, with great artists like Loretta Lynn and Willie Nelson. The line has blurred so much it's not even different anymore. Shania Twain's new album is even two discs, one country music disc, and the same songs recorded in a "pop" fashion on the second disc. Are these discs really that different? And does she think she has one section of country fans and another of pop fans? No, they're all one big mass you can't separate. Can there for once be music that is somewhat original? You can't listen to the radio or MTV for it, you really need to seek it out. I have more to say about MTV, but I'll rant about that more at a later date.

I saw an interview with Justin Timberlake where he was talking about his solo album Justified (wicked clever title by the way! Yeah!) and about how it was a real departure and very different sounding. I was like, wow, maybe he's growing out of the boy band mold. But then I heard his song and it's just like N'Sync except now it's only one guy instead of five. Real original Justin. You think singing in a girly falsetto voice will get you more fans? I think not. You're just a curly-hair wearin', boy band jammin', Britney Spears dumpin' LOSER.
