Oops, I meant to post this a couple days ago, when it was current, but I forgot. You can read it a couple days late--so put that in your pipe and smoke it!

WRIGHT IDEA, WRONG WAY TO GO ABOUT IT

I think this is pretty sad. For the anniversary of the Wright brothers historic first flight, an exact replica of their plane was built for a ceremony to commemorate the flight.

Pretty nice. But then you factor in the fact that the construction of the plane came at a cost of $1.2 MILLION and that upon first takeoff a piece broke off, and due to the lack of winds, it ultimately DID NOT TAKE OFF. So the plane was built with a million bucks and couldn't even get off the ground! They spent all that time and money to perfectly recreate the Wright brothers' plane and it FAILED. Yet the Wright brothers built the plane and managed to fly it. AND IT DIDN'T COST THEM A MILLION DOLLARS! What a waste of a) time and b) money. I'm not exactly sure why it cost that much either, isn't it just like balsa wood or some other light wood? The Wright brothers are rolling in their grave right now--and I hope you're happy!

A LITTLE DITTY...'BOUT JACK AND DIANE

Everytime I see a commercial for the new Jack Nicholson/Diane Keaton movie, Something's Gotta Give, "Jack and Diane" by John Cougar Mellencamp always pops into my head. It's not something I'm proud of, but it happens.

What's even sadder is that I know all the lyrics to that song. Argh!! Why am I cursed in such a manner???

GETCHYA ADDICTIONS HEAH! --NO, NOT YOU MATT...

You know, you hear a lot about the peer pressure kids face in school all the time, but never once have I been peer pressured. No one ever offered me cigarettes, or alcohol, or drugs. Not once. I never even got the opportunity to turn down these vices and prove what a good boy I am. Am I not cool enough to be offered drugs? *sniffle* ...guess not.

MATT AND HIS LIFE OF MANY COLORS

I never understood the phrase, "I was all over him like white on rice!" The part I don't get is the "white on rice." Sure, rice is white, but the "white" is not "on" the rice. The rice just is white. That's its color. That's like saying, "I was all over him like green on grass!" It just don't work people!
