MARTHA MARTHA MARTHA! *snicker*

Mwahahahaha! Martha Stewart is guilty! Guilty!!! I knew her day would come. I knew the truth would come out. I know what a cruel, evil woman she is. I saw it all on her E! True Hollywood Story. In my expert opinion, the prosecution should've used it as evidence.

THE PASSION FOR CASHIN'

The Passion of the Christ is making a ton of money at the box office. Remember before this film was released when every studio avoided it like the plague because they thought it would be box office poison? I'm sure that now since it's raking in the dough, every studio will be clamoring for a biblical themed product. It's already started since ABC will be airing Judas in the coming week. Ahhh...cashing in on peoples' religious beliefs, isn't that what it's all about?

MICRO-SIZING

This is an outrage! McDonald's is going to eliminate their "supersize" portions by the end of the year under pressure from healthy lifestyle groups. Grrrr...that burns me up. Now, because of the overweight population in this country who chooses to gorge on fatty McDonald's food, which thus makes them gain weight, I can't have a supersize french fry!! It's not that I get supersizing all that often, but it's the principle of it really. Sometimes you're really hungry or thirsty, and want that extra bit. But noooo, again McDonald's penalizes me for the mistakes of other people! (see 11-14-03 post)

What bothers me the most is that no one thought supersizing would make people gain weight when they first started it??? It's only after the fact that they think, "Hey, wait a minute...eating copious amounts of greasy french fries really does make you fat!" Duh.

CUT THIS PLEASE!

Continuing with the TV theme I've been spouting on about for many posts, one of the worst things ever to happen in the sitcom format was the advent of outtakes, or "bloopers." You know, a scene in which the actors flub their lines or screw something up in some way. There are tons of these I'm sure. Any production has these outtakes. Most never see the light of day. But when someone got the bright idea to tack them on to the end of the show, that's when it all went downhill.

Wow--the actors screwed up their lines! Look at them laugh and laugh at their mishaps! Oh how crazy! Oh how mad! It looks like they're having a lot of fun. And they probably are. They are. We, the viewer however, are not. How many times is someone forgetting a line funny? It really isn't even funny one time, but over and over it's just repetitive, boring, and most importantly, NOT FUNNY.

Fortunately, the fad of attaching bloopers to the close of a show appeared to die out sometime around the turn of the millenia and thankfully we have thus been saved from entertainment in its basest form.
