HI-HO THE DAIRY-O

Song currently in my head: "Farmer in the Dell". Does this somehow signify a subconscious yearning for my kindergarten days of yore? Odd, very odd.

SARAN WRAP FOIBLES

You know what a big pet peeve of mine is? (in case you hadn't noticed, I have a few) When somebody messes up the Saran Wrap so it doesn't pull out evenly and gets all ripped and sticks back on the roll so it's difficult to pull off again! Once it starts ripping, don't keep pulling! Words of wisdom.

GET THE NAME GUYS ON THIS ONE

I got these chocolate/peanut butter candies called Buckeyes today. And as we all know, chocolate + peanut butter = good. But upon further inspection of the ingredients, I see that the peanut butter is made up of "peanuts, sugar, partially hydrogenated cottonseed and rapeseed oils and salt." Ah wha--? Rapeseed oils?? What the heck is that?? Does anyone else but me find that disturbing? Whoever named that couldn't have picked any other name? eeeew *shudder*

But I don't care, Buckeyes taste awesome!

THIS POST IS INTERRUPTED TO REMIND YOU THAT YOU ARE READING INCONSEQUENTIAL INSANITIES

So there's a new classic rock station in my city called Frank FM (I know what your thinking: That name is brilliant! More aon that later...). They're currently claiming to play 10,000 songs with no commercial interruptions. This is great for someone like me who wants to do something crazy when listening to the radio like, you know, listening to music and not an endless stream of commercials or DJ babble. I know, I'm crazy like dat yo.

This sounds good in theory. Yet they still continually break up the music with station promos reminding us how they're not interrupting the music with commercials! So despite their claims to not interrupt the music, they still are, just in a different way! Argh!

(The later part) Almost worse than that is the way that they pretend like "Frank" is a real person. Like during one of their station promos: "Like Boston? [insert "More Than A Feeling" here] So does Frank." But there is no Frank. It's just a gimmick name, and since it's already driving me crazy, that can't be a good sign.

On a side note, I hate that when once radio stations get their playlists set, they don't change them. It just becomes the same songs over and over. And when you have a classic rock station, you're already limited because there's only so much classic rock to go around.
